Well, I'm excited to say my first
erotic romance,
Talk Dirty to Me, with Ellora's Cave is coming out on
May 24th! It's a quick read that's packed with more heat
than Florida in August! LOL
Tell us a
little about Talk Dirty to Me, what inspired you to write
Talk Dirty to Me?
Ah...the voices in my head? They pretty
much rule the roost when I'm in the writing mode. And maybe
a little bit of reality after talking to a girlfriend in a
similar situation as the characters in the story, Blake and
Lilly. Sometimes the smallest thought or thing in life can
blossom into an exciting, hot story.
When you start
writing, do you already have the story plotted out or do you
let the characters dictate what will happen?
Definitely the characters, since they
are the voices in my head. I have a general idea of what I
want but I let them have total control of the creative
juices.
What inspired
you to write in your genre? Is this the genre you started
writing in or have you morphed to this one?
Morphed. Talk Dirty to Me is my first
official erotic romance. If any of you have read Cupid's
Arrow, my first sweet romance with Whiskey Creek Press,
compare it to Talk Dirty to Me and you'll understand just
how much I've morphed. It's got the words, and a hotter
than hot storyline, that's plenty of sex folks. For those of
you who might wonder

Do you have a
favorite character you have written?
Not really. Unless I count Harold, the
talking bird in ALL the Right Moves. This, by the way, is
coming out in print in October 2010.
Do you have a
character that you look back on now and don't like?
No. That would be like saying I don't
like myself...
Do you draw
inspiration for your characters from real life? Any fun
stories you could share?
I plead the fifth! LOL Just kidding.
The only thing I'll admit to is that most of the humor in my
stories is pure me coming through.
Name one thing
that your readers would be surprised to know about you.
I used to be a stripper. When I was in
my early twenties, some 35 years ago.
A floor stripper. (Gotcha!) LOL
Do you have a
guilty pleasure?
McDonald's Hazelnut Iced Coffee.
What do you
need before you start writing? Anything that is just a must
have or the creative juice don't flow?
Nope. Just need my laptop, my favorite
recliner, and leave me alone time.
Does music
influence your writing? If so, do any of your stories have
a theme song?
Usually the TV is on when I'm writing.
Where were you
when you got your first contract? Who did you tell first?
I was at home, had just returned from a
cruise to Alaska. The contract was waiting for me in my
inbox. My daughter and niece were the first ones I told
because they were the ones who encouraged me to submit to a
publisher.
What are you
currently working on?
My next erotic romance for Ellora's
Cave...I'm optimistic
