Angela - Bio Coming Soon

Amelia
Amelia has been reading romance novels since the mid-1970s, watching
the change from historical to paranormal and loving the trends as
they come.
She lives in the south where she’s done a great many things, from
working at movie theaters to teaching school. Now she enjoys
spending her time reading and writing and pondering what will be the
next big thing in the romance world.

Barb
My name is Barb and I
am an avid reader (crowd say "Hi, Barb"). I am 38, Canadian, and
live in perpetual servitude to my 3 cats (Daria (the Queen), Pumpkin
(Royal Consort), and Chloe (Mistress of the Toilet Paper Infantry)
respectively) and my best friend Viola Grace.
I live life in a
whirlwind of projects, never happy unless I have 15 or 20 on the go.
My work is in the health care field, trying to control the
uncontrollable. Reading is a fantastic escape. Active hobbies
include bellydancing, cross-stitch, and beadery (yes the last 2 are
active as I do them. Have you ever gotten beads out of a carpet or
thread away from 3 cats?).
My reading habits cover
all genres. With hobbies taking up all the space in my apartment,
ebooks are my lifeline, my drug, my addiction. And Joyfully Reviewed
is my supplier. And now my pimp. Bring me your tired, your poor,
your huddled manuscripts!

Cassie
I hated the first romance novel I read, but luckily I gave the genre another
chance and now I'm a confirmed romance addict. I enjoy all genres of
romance, especially erotic romance. I discovered e-books a few years ago,
which opened up a whole new world of wonderful authors and books! When not
reading, I am generally pretending to do something constructive or spending
time with my husband.

Cheryl
An avid reader, Cheryl can't remember a time she wasn't reading.
Although she's drawn to tales a little left of center, romance is
her first love. She just can't resist a happy ending. Cheryl likes
her romance hot and maybe a touch kinky. With the discovery of
e-books several years back, what was once a hobby quickly became an
obsession.
When she's not reading or trying to find more places to squirrel
away books, she's living on the left coast and having fun with her
SO and their very demanding cat. She thinks people who refer to
themselves in the third person are big FREAKS!

Christine
Hello, my name is Christine and I’m a bookaholic! At least that’s
what my family would swear to. I also very much dislike writing
about myself. So this little bio won’t be as spectacular as many of
our reviews that we have on the site.
I live in my own little space in Florida aka Hurricane Alley. When I
don’t have my nose stuck in a book, I split my time being a
homemaker (please don’t ask me how often I actually do my
housework), wife, mother, grandmother (*gasp* – you’d be surprised
how young I am), writer, massage therapist, critique partner, and a
variety of other roles that would make my fingers really tired if I
actually typed them all out. Oh, and did I mention being an editor
for Joyfully Reviewed along with it all?
I prefer romance of most genres and mystery/suspense novels. Just
don’t ask me to read a non-fiction or any type of biography – unless
I’m doing research and even then it’s a huge headache and I
procrastinate horribly. Aren’t you glad you’re not MY editor?

Cynthia
Cynthia's love affair with the written word has been going strong for
a long time now. Although she remains a true and loyal romance slut,
she will read anything. Her passion for romance is almost equal to
her love of white chocolate and strawberry-mango daiquiris. Most
days she can be found putting her English degree to very good use
editing and proofreading in the wilds of Canada. When she isn't
reading the latest release from favorite authors (also known as
procrastination) she is usually buried beneath a mountain of
unfinished projects and barely begun manuscripts.

Emma
My name is Emma and I
am an voracious reader. My apartment has been taken over by books
and my family is attempting to get me onto a couple of reality T.V.
shows for hoarders and slightly demented work-a-holics.
I am in my 30s,
Canadian born and bred. A sucker for punishment as I live in the
Canadian Prairies – even at -50 degree weather. There is always
something going on in my life.
I am in the process of finally learning how to drive and cook
(trying to avoid the pot hole of after learning how to drive –
driving to order more take out).

Gianna

I guess it’s my turn. *waves shyly* Hi, I’m Gianna. I’m 27, living
in Fort Worth and single for as long as I can help it.
My first memories of reading romance novels were when I was 13. My
mom had tons of books in her room and she would never let me read
them. So, of course, like any normal teenager I would sneak them out
when she wasn’t looking. I’ve been hooked ever since. I enjoy just
about all types of romance. My favorites are suspense, paranormal
and contemporary. I’m very happy to have joined Joyfully Reviewed
and hope to be here for years to come.

HC Paye
H.C. Paye takes on many titles, including author, marketer, and now
editor - always being one to strive for the best. She wholeheartedly
believes life is what you make it, and encourages everyone who will
listen to follow their dreams...whatever they might be.

Helgaleena

Helgaleena Healingline is the nom de plume of a Reformed Druid of
North America living quietly in southern Wisconsin, USA. Besides
acting as editor-midwife in chief at an online publisher, she runs a
helpline ministry outreach which includes distance Reiki,
acupressure, nutrition and other advice, CTFT protocols, and
listening.
At Joyfully Reviewed she is a humble
comma-checker.

Indy
I am a fabulous
woman who recently turned 40, a mother a sister and, to round it
out, a nut when it comes to reading. From whips and chains to fur
and fangs, if it's hot, sexy and intense I find it hard to control
the drool. I like my heroines crazy and my heroes rough and crude. I
joined the world of "it's my opinion so deal with it" reviewing in
2005 and haven't looked back since.
On the personal
front I'm an energizer honey who loves her iPod, clean eating,
spinning classes and romantic comedies. Clive Owen is my sexy psycho
and dream lover who continues to haunt my wet dreams. The Spark, Dave
Ramsey's Total Money Makeover and anything by Keri Arthur,
Rachel Vincent and Jeaniene Frost are just a few of the titles that
grace my overflowing bookshelves of erotica, self-improvement and
urban drama.

Jo
Hello out there,
My name is Jo and I have been reading books for longer than I can
even remember. I was an easily bored child and my teenage cousins
started to give me books to read so I would stay out of their way.
I am now very proud to say I’m a book addict. No, I really don’t
want to know if there is a twelve-step program available for this.
I am single and live in western Washington state. My day job, so
that I can stay in books, is that of a legal professional. My other
hobbies, besides reading, are jewelry and cooking. I started
reviewing in April, after answering a notice posted on an author’s
site, and I’m very happy to be with Joyfully Reviewed. I love just
about all types of romances and look out for new authors besides the
ones that I love already. Having a happy ever after at the end of
my books, is a requirement for me, along with a solid plot and
loveable characters. I always have a book with me everywhere I go
and will pull it out to read anywhere I have an extra minute.

Joy
There once was a romance reader named Joy
So obsessed with those books was she, oh boy
How can I reach others that are just as hooked
Full of shelves overflowing with all genres of romance books
Online she went, where she found a like minded soul named Melissa
To which Joyfully Reviewed was born

Klarissa

Klarissa is a reviewer who has always loved books. She got away
from reading for a while, then got back into reading romance,
starting with Christine Feehan. She's an introvert who loves to
immerse herself in her books. Fantasies, adventures and romance are
things she always looks forward to getting back to.
Telecommunications engineering drags her away to the real world, but
she grabs a book at every opportunity. She loves being a reviewer
and experiencing new authors and new adventures.

Lee - Bio Coming Soon

Ley
I'm a 37-year-old New Englander. I'm single and loving it—I enjoy
my free time to travel whenever the the mood strikes. If I don't
have a book in my hand, it must be football season. Next to reading,
sports are my second greatest interest, mostly football and tennis.
I have aways been a huge reader, especially of romance stories. I
do veer off now and then to a good mystery and other genres but
happily-ever-after romances has aways been my biggest interest.

Lisa
Hi! I’m Lisa, a 40ish, more ‘ish than 40 year old housewife, married
more than 30 years to an Englishman whom I only knew 3 weeks before
he proposed and I smartly accepted. We have three sons (yes, God
does have a sense of humor). Depending on the week I’m open to
offers of trading them for more books. We have a St. Bernard – Boo,
two cats – Riley and Lexie – and 2 parakeets never named. All pets
are female, I need as much estrogen as possible around me these
days!
I have always loved books, I can’t remember a time when I didn’t
have a book nearby. My grandmother gave me a Victoria Holt book
when I was eight and a love affair with romance books began. The
Wolf and the Dove, The Flame and the Flower were magic
and anything by Johanna Lindsey as well in the early days. Nowadays
it’s paranormal, contemporary and erotica that you will find in one
of my many stacks. I’m trying to talk my husband into getting me
another bookcase (we have 7), but so far no luck. He thinks that I
will quit buying and reading if he says “no.” I’m still laughing,
are you?
I get jittery when I don’t get the chance to read for a day or two.
I just can’t imagine life without books. Honest!

Melissa
After failing the five-step program for my book addiction, I finally
gave up and decided just go with it. Now, 50,000 books later, I read
almost anything I can get my hands on. I'm a picky reader,
who loves a happy ending and heroes who aren't cheaters. Married
with three children, I love to escape into a book!
Joy and I created Joyfully Reviewed out of our love for romance
books of all genres. We've had tons of fun sharing our love of
reading with everyone one!

Michelle - Bio Coming Soon

Nannette
Nannette has always been an avid reader, but when she joined
Joyfully Reviewed in 2005, it gave her the opportunity to indulge in
her favorite obsession: books. Vice cops, Scottish lairds, vampires,
cowboys, and Navy SEALS to name a fewer a few of her favorite
things. She likes heroes who save their women from serial killers,
and those who tattoo their man's name on their bicep. (The only
thing better than one hot guy is two!) Nannette's husband and
children keep her busy. When she's not with her family, or
reading/reviewing, she's probably indulging in guilty pleasures such
as watching The Office over and over and over, shopping, watching
sports, or doing something productive like working out,
proofreading, or feeding her OCDs.

Nellie
My name is Nellie hailing from the heart beat of Canada, Toronto. I have a BS in Computer Science and I
am working on my MBA. I work in the IT industry. I love traveling
and have lived in three different continents (AEA). From a very
young age my passion has been reading from romance, biographies to
science fictions.

Niki Lee
Niki Lee is a huge reader, reading all genres of fiction, as well as
nonfiction ranging from physics to history. She also works in
publishing, in various capacities. She is attending school full
time to get her degree in writing and literature. Between family,
cats and friends, she keeps busy. She lives in Houston and craves
the East coast.

Nikita Steele
Reminiscing over years past, I can’t remember a single moment when a
book was not nearby; whether it was romance, mystery or horror.
Romance novels have always been and will remain my first love, my
addiction and my passion. A couple of years ago, I discovered the
sensual wonders of erotica and I haven’t been the same since. I
can truly say I am an “erotic addict.” My favorite genres consist
of paranormal, contemporary, mystery and suspense.
Besides reading, my other passion is Tae Bo.
Four days a week I spend an hour with Billy Blanks working up a
sweat. LOL! I’m single, in my 30’s, childless and currently living
in Hotlanta - I mean Atlanta, GA.

Nikki - The Editor
I'm a Southern gal who loves to lose herself in a good book. I read
all genres and love an alpha male, especially if he's a shifter. In
addition to reading, I enjoy baking and knitting.

Nikki - The Web Goddess
Our web goddess is shy and likes to stay behind the scene.
Personally I think she is afraid of having more work piled
on if someone knows she helps here.
She is a mother, wife, author, pet owner and oh yeah has a
day job to boot. So shhh
if you recognize her she is incognito here.... - Tanya

Patrice F.
I'm a native Chicagoan who spent a lot of time as a kid reading and
making up my own stories (in between riding my bike, pogo stick, and
skateboard). Going to the gym is my adult playtime now. Keeps me
sane. Yay!
Thanks to my dad and aunt, I'm a big fan of paranormal, sci-fi,
horror, and old comics (see: Conan the Barbarian, Vampirella).
I’m a big lover of manga/anime and manhwa. Recently single, which
means I now have time to indulge myself more!
I’ve been working for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) in
sales/marketing in a managerial position. We've booked everyone
from Yo Yo Ma to Sting. My job is really busy but a blessing
because I love music so much. Plus, I'm very well taken care of by
my team.
I'm SGI Buddhist, and I'm pleased to say my life has taken a
wonderful turn ever since I converted.
Favorite shows: “True Blood,” “What Not to Wear,” “Iron Chef,” and
“Family Guy”
Favorite color: Blue
Favorite band(s): HIM, Big Bang
Favorite author(s): Tanith Lee, Lilith Saintcrow, Brenna Lyons
I love traveling, cooking (and eating) great food, shopping (whether
I spend money or not), live music, the arts, and spending time with
family and friends. I'm probably one of the rare people who enjoys
doing laundry (including folding). My ultimate plan is to escape the
Midwest for good for warmer climes.

Raine
Greetings Reader! A little about myself...I own a retail shop which
allows me time for my reading fixes, when I'm not in school that
is... At 39+ I decided for a career change. So at certain times of
the year you may see more from me than at other times. I've loved
reading since I hit Jr. High and discovered romance. I've
always loved a good fantasy or sci-fi book. A few years ago now, on
a sleepless night, I discovered the M/M genre perusing Amazon for a
new download. A few M/M yahoo books groups and author chats later
lead me here to Joyfully Reviewed. The reviews you will see from me
might be M/F or M/M, but in general I think you'll find they're
contemporary, fantasy/paranormal or Sci-fi. I love it here at JR
and honored to be a part of their wonderful company.
Wishing you pages and pages of bliss!

Sabella
I'm a book addict, have been my entire life and I refuse to give up
my vice. I can remember hiding under the covers with a flashlight
at night so I could read when I was supposed to be sleeping. To
this day I will stay up until all hours to finish a book that I just
can't put down, even if it means feeling like death the next day. I
will read any book that lands in my hands, but I have to say that I
always prefer a good erotic romance or a paranormal adventure.
Since discovering eBooks, my reading addiction has become an
obsession – with instant gratification!
Day to day, when I’m not working I’m scrounging for every spare
minute to read as much as I can, but I’ve had to give up reading at
stop lights as that has proven to be somewhat dangerous.

Shayna
I’ve always been a sucker for happily ever afters, but it wasn’t
until I picked up my first Nora Roberts novel (a 4-in-1 reissue of
her Calhoun Women series) at the tender age of twelve that I became
a romance novel addict. Thirteen and a half years later, the
addiction continues. I love a well-written romance from just about
any genre and at any heat level, which is likely why my TBR pile is
beginning to resemble the Himalayas.
My firm belief that everyone deserves to have their love story told
opened the world of GLBT romance to me, which – given that my TBR
pile has doubled since reading my first m/m romance – was probably
not conducive to solving the mountain range issue. I’m grateful to
be a reviewer for Joyfully Reviewed, as it has fed my addiction and
allowed me to write about my favorite topic – books – alongside an
energetic, talented, and friendly group of “bunnies.”
My life outside Joyfully Reviewed is terribly ordinary. I’m a
recent law school graduate on the job hunt and like to run, write,
and create lists and spreadsheets in my free time. For some reason
writing these kinds of blurbs makes me feel like I should say
something along the lines of I like sunny days spent playing in the
park with my dog Rover, but truthfully I prefer gloomy or stormy
weather, being out on or near the ocean, and have a mischievous
kitten named Roarke (yes, I remain a die-hard Nora Roberts fan).
I can’t even begin to list all my favorite romance novels or
authors, as this blurb would get very long very quickly and I’d kick
myself later for forgetting people and books. Instead, I’ll end
this with my hope that my reviews can lead you to discover at least
one new-to-you favorite book or author :)

Talia Ricci
My name is Talia Ricci and I love to
read. I discovered romance novels in middle school, starting with
pilfered Barbara Cartland novels. In high school I got caught
reading The Flame and The Flower by Kathleen Woodwiss in
World Geography class and had to write a five page paper on Siberia.
I can't tell you the capital of Siberia but I can for sure let you
know exactly what I like and dislike about a book!
In real life I am a school teacher as well as a wife and mother. My
husband is THE alpha male in my household and I wouldn't have him
any other way. My daughter is going to graduate from college this
year but I have two stepchildren and one perfect nephew to keep me
busy!
My favorite genres to read include: BDSM, shape-shifters, especially
werewolves, vampires, historicals, and ménages. I love finding
different authors to read but a few of my favorites include: Lora
Leigh, Shelley Bradley/Shayla Black, Violet Summers, Maya Banks,
Jasmine Haynes, Lara Adrian, Shiloh Walker, and Deborah Cooke to
name a few *wink* As this is the beginning of my
fifth year as a reviewer for JR, I consider myself extremely lucky
to be a member of the Joyfully Reviewed family.

Tanya
Oops, I guess this isn't the correct place to lose my addiction but
to feed it. (he he he) What makes me think I am a bookaholic? Well,
2 things come to mind. 1) My last vacation I worried more about what
I was going to take to read than what to wear and 2) I stayed up
past 2am one night reading The Distressing Damsel, Book 2 of
the Dragon Kin by Shelly Laurenston, thus leaving me with less than
4 hours of sleep to go to work on. But as my family would tell you
this is nothing new.
Let's see…I am *yikes* over 40. I live in the middle of nowhere
Maine with my husband and our beagle Mandy. I have worked in the
paper industry of Maine for more than 20 years (ask me sometime why
I don't eat low calorie bread). I am a fan of the alpha males,
especially those stories about the military, shapeshifters and
cowboys. Overall I love to read, quilt, take photos, read, research
genealogy, read, watch “Leverage” and the “Deadliest Catch” on TV
and did I mention read?
I love to read romance books and enjoy sharing my thoughts on them
with anyone who will listen :)

Willow

I started reading at the age of 3 and now at the age of 49 I own
over 2,000 books. My day job is teaching special education students
with severe disabilities and reading helps me to unwind.
My students take a LOT of energy and I am just downright tired at
the end of the day. I read at night, during the day, at lunch, while
on bus duty, while waiting in line, while waiting at the doctor's
office, while sitting with my mother, while driving to and from work
(okay those are audio books so I am technically not reading), in the
bathtub, while I'm cooking.....well, you get the picture.
I love camping, beading and scrapbooking. I do after school
tutoring, Girl Scouts, Relay for Life and Special Olympics.
I have 2 wonderful sons (a graphic artist and a chef), 1 beautiful
daughter-in-law and I am Grandma to the sweetest little baby boy in
the world.
Of course, he'll come to Grandma's house and hear lots of stories.
