What is your most current work out?

It’s THE MANNY DIARIES, my debut m/m erotic romance novel from Ravenous Romance. It’s a funny, sweet, sexy m/m story set in San Francisco.

Tell us a little about The Manny Diaries.  What inspired you to write The Manny Diaries?

I was held hostage at gunpoint; it was a horrific experience. No, actually I’d written several shorts for RR that were popular with readers and editors, and the publishers asked me if I would write a full-length m/m novel.

When you start writing, do you already have the story plotted out or do you let the characters dictate what will happen?

A little of both – usually I start with some ideas and connect them with a rough outline, but during the writing characters have a tendency of galloping off in unexpected directions.

What inspired you to write in your genre?  Is this the genre you started writing in or have you morphed to this one?

It’s the fault of an evil woman – my girlfriend. When I wasn’t looking, she submitted a story I wrote for her to the publishers, and they signed me up.

Do you have a favorite character you have written?

Oh, that’s like asking which kid I like best…

Do you have a character that you look back on now and don’t like?

So far so good, I love them all, even the bad guys… actually, it’s the characters that pull me into the stories.

Do you draw inspiration for your characters from real life? Any fun stories you could share?

Always! Most of the random sexual exploits that occur to Trini in THE MANNY DIARIES actually happened to a girlfriend of mine – she knows who she is…

Name one thing that your readers would be surprised to know about you.

Just one? I’m full of surprises… Okay here’s one: I speak Irish Gaelic.

Do you have a guilty pleasure?

Bad Movie night – especially zombie movies.

If your story was optioned for a movie, who would play your characters?

One of the running jokes is that the protagonist’s dream man is a dead ringer for Clive Owen.  Clive, you’d do a gay romance pic, wouldn’t you?

Where were you when you got your first contract?

I was waiting to hear back from publishers about a biblical history non-fiction book. Biblical history’s loss is gay male erotica’s gain…

What are you currently working on, and what else is in the wings?

A couple more stories for some RR anthologies, and then I get cracking on another m/m Romance novel set in San Francisco’s Italian community.
