Victoria Edison has found a way to escape the scandal of her parentage and the east coast by heading west and acting as a housekeeper for a wealthy man. But, when she arrives there she finds out that the wealthy man she is working for might be a little on the shady side. But, she has struck a bargain and when a couple of cowboys show up and take possession of some of the materials she is tasked with caring for she insists that she has to stay with it.

She never expected to be stuck in a storm alone (no chaperone) with Clint and Riley for three nights. Or that they will be joined by a third man (Jed Adams). Now she is ruined and the scandal free life she was hoping for seems to be a thing of the past. That is until she finds out that the men want to marry her, and that being married to more than one man might not be that outrageous in this valley.

But, will Jed ever come to love her like Clint and Riley do? He is the one she is legally married to but also the one that says he can’t put up with the woman, though she is growing on him. When suddenly a rival insists that their marriage isn’t legal, and that unless remarried by a preacher will be annulled, Victoria is devastated as Jed won’t have anything to do with preachers. But, will he change his mind when faced with losing Victoria? Can her love help him through the nightmares of his past (which deal with a bible thumping hypocrite father) and make them all a true family?

Bride Train is a series that has keep my interest since book one. On Book 5, 1 Bed, 2 Weddings, 3 Husbands that interest is still as alive as it was on book one. Ms. Butler is able to keep the series fresh and interesting while also allowing the characters and scenario’s to grow as the town grows. 1 Bed, 2 Weddings, 3 Husbands is a fast paced love story which shows the relationship between one woman and three very different men grow independently. But that independent growth makes the overall whole relationship even stronger. Fans of historical western romances and who aren’t afraid of a little steamy ménage need to pick up 1 Bed, 2 Weddings, 3 Husbands, and hang on for the ride.
