Quinn Lennox can’t explain the weird things that have been happening to her lately. All she knows is she needs to keep them quiet or be judged by the people around her. Quinn is forced to throw caution to the wind when a friend goes missing. When Quinn and her brother start their search for their missing friend they find themselves thrown into the dark world of Vamp City, where vamps rule and humans are slaves. Quinn and her brother get separated and now she has two people to find in this messed up world but first she must get out of the hands of vampire Arturo. Things would be so much easier if she could stop her own desire for him. Quinn knows Arturo is a bad boy but she wants to trust him and she needs him if she’s going to find her brother and survive the mean streets of Vamp City. Will Quinn and her loved ones make it out of Vamp City alive?
Pamela Palmer’s A Blood Seduction is a dark urban fantasy driven by an empathetic heroine and scenes rich with desire and intensity. Vamp City is a very scary place to be and Ms. Palmer does an excellent job of bringing the reader into the mood of the city. From the very beginning you get a good look at just how dire Quinn’s situation is. She is literally dropped into a place where humans are treated like cattle. Quinn and Arturo share blistering passion. It is impossible to deny the chemistry these two share. However, you are filled with questions because we do not know if he is good or bad. Quinn makes a great heroine because she never gives up even when things get gruesome!
I like that A Blood Seduction kept me on my toes. I could feel the fear of the characters and I was constantly questioning Arturo’s motives. While the heat between Quinn and Arturo is exceptional I would not classify A Blood Seduction as overly romantic. I see huge potential for these characters in the future but right now the couple is living on lust. I feel like Ms. Palmer has begun an epic story with A Blood Seduction. I could see all the unanswered questions at the end and I can’t wait to find those answers in the next Vamp City novel.
