After Cash lost his mate two years ago he left Montana, along with everything and everyone he knew behind, much to the chagrin of his family.  Now he is headed home and along the way he winds up picking up a damsel in distress.  Rylie, daughter of the Wyoming Alpha is on the run.  The brutal alpha who has killed her family to get to her is not someone she wants as her mate, so she is on the run.
She runs into Cash during her escape and he seems more than willing to help her, feeling it will help ‘right the wrongs of his past’ even though she isn’t completely honest with him.

Their growing caring for each other is conflicting to them both.  But, what will happen when Rylie’s past catches up with them?

A Broken Bond is a hard hitting look in to what can happen if someone loses their soul mate (especially if they are a were) .  I love how Cash fights his attraction to Rylie but at the same time is unable to keep his protective streak from showing.  Ms. Kennedy has been able to meld these warring emotions together exceptionally well.  I was pulled in from the very beginning of A Broken Bond and it kept me intrigued until the very end.
