Office clerk Justin Myers is trying to deal with a horrible hangover when his coworker, nerdy engineer Preston asks him to lunch.  Justin agrees to go, not sure what to think of the surprise invitation.  They’re complete opposites, which makes the crush Preston seems to have on Justin even odder.

Can the engineer win the heart of the party-boy clerk?

A Hold on His Heart is a quick, cute opposites attract story.  Justin’s concerned with partying with his friends, and not much else, until Preston makes a move.  Their relationship begins slowly, with a lunch, and progresses from there.  Preston, while nerdy, is by no means clueless.  He just lacks confidence.  It was nice to see Justin begin to realize he cared for Preston, and to see Preston become more confident.  A Hold on His Heart doesn’t break any new ground, but it’s a sweet story with likeable characters and an “awww” ending.
