Iris is known as the primal hunter on her planet. But, the one thing she has kept from most all is that some of her hunting skills are psychic. Iris is also able to use her talents to stun prey rather than kill it when necessary. Now the Citadel has come to her to help them find a lost object in an alien jungle. How can Iris turn down the opportunity to test her gifts in a way that she has never had an option to? The fact that her traveling companion (Venin) intrigues her doesn’t hurt. Will these two’s talents work well together making the mission a ‘little easier’? And will they find more than a working relationship?
A Hunter’s Dream is the fifth in the Citadel tales, but can easily be read as a standalone. Though, as with most of Ms. Grace’s series it is a lot more fun and pleasurable if you have read them all.
Iris and Verin are a great pair, with their interesting talents and patience it makes the story nicely. The action is exceptionally well written, as is to be expected by Ms. Grace. I enjoyed A Hunter’s Dream and think any fan of sci-fi romance will also.
