Jory Harcourt is still getting into trouble and his boyfriend, Detective Sam Kage is still trying to keep him safe. Jory is making it very difficult, though. When Sam’s life is threatened, Jory decides to take matters into his own hands. If he can stay alive, he just might be able to solve the case.

I have mixed emotions about A Matter of Time 4. On one hand, It’s exciting and action-packed, but on the other, it’s unrealistic and over the top. Jory is running around town acting like a superhero. He’s evading the police, hunting down leads, and practically befriending the bad guys. He’s seemingly invincible. Half-way through I’m yelling at Jory to go to back, stop being so stubborn and frankly, stupid.  It’s a bit far-fetched and contrived, but very entertaining. However, through it all is this rock-solid, perfect thing that is Sam and Jory. They’re two of the most compelling characters I’ve ever read about.

After reading all four stories, I have come to a few conclusions; The A Matter of Time series has the potential to be exceptional, and in many ways it is, but from simple grammatical errors, to plot inconsistencies, it needs better editing. Having said that, I would still recommend reading them. They are engaging, possess excellent characterization, and have the perfect combination of romance and eroticism. I adore Jory and Sam. They always leave me wanting more. Even now, I want more. I’ll keep my fingers crossed, hoping that someday I get my wish.
