During the day businessman Donald K. Drummond runs a highly lucrative company inNew Jersey. When night falls Donald becomes ‘Bear’, a Master Dom who trains other Doms at Indiscrete, a classy private BDSM club. The only emptiness in his life was caused by a past relationship that ended very badly several years ago. At this point Donald guards his heart and only dreams of finding his perfect sub.
A brilliant mind is Brian Murphy’s birthright and the only thing keeping him going. Brian had a promising start at Drummond Real Estate until his supervisor learned that he was gay. No one there realizes the level of persecution Brian suffers and he can’t afford to lose his job for personal reasons so he endures in silence.
An act of malicious intent becomes a godsend for Brian and Donald because from the moment they meet their romance begins. But before they can find a lasting happiness together they will be tested in unimaginable ways. It is up to Donald and Brian to prove that true love can triumph and flourish.
A Matter of Trust is an intricate, multi-layered plotline where love is tested at every turn. The main characters are complex, fascinating men who have both been touched by tragedy, though hands down Brian’s life is much worse. BDSM plays a very important role in A Matter of Trust, the rules and expectations of Bear rather than a lot of physical activity. Also, at times it is difficult to separate the different plot points because there is so much going on between the characters, particularly Brian. In a nutshell, Brian’s life has and is hell. There was no end in sight until he meets Donald. Since giving anything away would spoil the plot just know that A Matter of Trust is a heartbreaking tale of love and redemption within a story bursting at its emotional seams.
