The coven of Satanist Paul Lefevre was recently arrested by LAPD Det. Joe French, but their crazy leader managed to slither away.  When Jeff leaves home for a lunch date with the detective Peter experiences one of those weird feelings that tells him something bad is happening.  Panic overwhelms Peter when Jeff and Joe go missing.  Ironically NYPD Det. Nick Fallon and his partner Eric are good friends and scheduled to arrive in town that day.  The police have little to go on but that won’t stop Peter, Nick, and Eric from searching…with a little help from Phillip.

No argument, A Self Portrait is a heart pounding romantic suspense that will keep readers enthralled.   Telling the story in his own way Peter takes readers back to his first love and lays their lives bare and then moves forward to the present where Jeff’s life is on the line.  Author J.P. Bowie skillfully blends a past love story with a modern day mystery taking readers on a gut wrenching journey along the way.  The characters are alive, the drama intense, and the plotline fascinating.  Reading A Self Portrait is a no brainer.
