The only thing that matters to Travis cost him everything, but as far as he’s concerned his daughter Hannah is worth the world. The price however means that they are living in a motel and Travis is running out of his meager savings. If he can’t find a job soon Travis isn’t sure what he will do.
A last ditch effort for a job near the motel brings Travis face to face with Liam Glass and his Mastiff puppies in the fashionable boutique where Liam is picking up a package for his Alpha’s twin sister. When Liam asks Travis and Hannah to lunch the young father swallows his pride and accepts. The next thing he knows Travis is accepting a job babysitting the dogs for the weekend. Agreeing to the proposal will change the little family’s life in ways never imagined.
Author Caitlin Ricci begins the Pine Hollow Wolves series with a real charmer in Almost Paradise. Though the plotline is a smooth set up it is the characters who breathe certain life into this story. Travis is genuine, Liam is awkward around humans, and Hannah isn’t too cute to be believed which makes this tale so much more real. Almost Paradise is a promising start to a captivating new series.
