Amy Michaels has been on her own for a long time. Her troubled past keeps her from forming many attachments, especially romantic ones. Forest Ranger Matt Bowers unnerves her as much as he excites her, so she avoids him whenever possible. Matt feels he and Amy have been circling each other since she moved to Lucky Harbor six months ago. Breaking down Amy’s walls is difficult at best. Matt’s past has taught him to keep to himself, but staying away from Amy is proving to be impossible.
The sizzling sexual tension between Amy and Matt was intense in Lucky In Love, and it actually gets thicker in At Last. Their feelings for each other, both sexual and emotional, are tangible. They both have baggage that keeps them from admitting their true feelings. Amy’s tough-girl attitude and appearance belies her soft heart, and Matt is a good guy who’s been burned in that past, trying hard not to make the same mistakes twice. There’s something very special between Matt and Amy, and it’s easy to see for everyone to see, except them. At Last has a heartfelt romance with sizzling sensuality, and some excitement and danger too.
