Bella wished her friend off to meet her new mates and hoped that the Council had proved much better mates for Anna then they did for Bella. Because Bella is a mathematics genus, she was mated up with men who matched her IQ – too bad they didn’t have personalities to match. Bella has named them Dweeb One, Two and Three and unfortunately it really does fit.
An attack from Open Air Society on the capital has Major Dete, Captain Novi and Lieutenant Wex jumping in and rescuing Bella from the danger. They get her out okay but one of their first jobs is to tell Bella that her mates have all been killed. The timing might be bad, but these military men would all love to replace them in Bella’s life – something that is very unlikely to happen because the Council will never allow it.
Bella is stunned when informed about her mates and then is determined to find out about her friend Anna. During Bella, Dete, Novi and Wex’s race to safety, emotions run rampant and Bella finds herself seducing and being seduced by the men guarding her. Bella has always had ideas that would never be accepted by the ruling Council and she is surprised to discover that she is not alone and she might even be in a space to help with a revolution. Answers are given to Bella and then her men team up and prove to her that life can be so much more than Bella has experienced until now. Change is in the very air around them and these four are willing to bet their lives and happiness on the line in order to have the life they want.
In a world where mates are ordered, four rebels are willing to put their hearts and happiness at risk in order to have the life they want. Bella’s Three Bodyguards gave me many answers to my questions from the previous book but still left me with a few new ones. I felt bad that Bella had such bad mates but even though death is horrible, I was very happy when Bella had a chance at a life with love this time. Dete, Novi and Wex all had me in their corner pretty quickly and I was amazed to find out that they all had a secret in common without knowing it. I’m a true believer that love should have free reign and if it takes a revolution to allow these three the future they deserve, then all I can say is ‘viva revolution’. The passion that developed between Bella, Dete, Novi and Wex proves that love still has a chance on the planet Profortuna. Now, I’m waiting and trying to be patient for the last chapter in this series and hope that my final questions will be answered. Bella’s Three Bodyguards takes suspense and surrounds it in erotic passion and rebel feelings – what a great adventure.
