Blood Hunt is an edge of your seat thriller fraught with danger and desire! This is the fifth book in The Sentinel Wars series and I do recommend that this series be read in order. Even though Blood Hunt is the first that focuses on the love of a Sanguinar there is simply too much going on for someone to drop into this massive story here. I’ll be honest when I heard the fifth book was going to feature Logan I was a bit distressed. Up until this point the Sanguinar’s have come off as a dark and shady group, not to be trusted; their motives always hidden from the Theronai. There are so many Theronai warriors’ stories that I’m dying to read and thinking about Logan, a character I have come to distrust, I was not thrilled. However, I can admit when I’m wrong. Shannon K. Butcher’s Blood Hunt is a killer story that adds new fascinating dimensions to an already outstanding series. Blood Hunt is an excellent addition to The Sentinel Wars. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy Ms. Butcher changed my mind regarding Logan. As the story started, I immediately began feeling compassion for a character that I once disliked. Hope is such a formidable character it is impossible not to adore her tenacity. Logan and Hope shine so bright as a couple. Their chemistry is sizzling and uncontrollable. Logan and Hope are an indomitable couple! They set the pages of Blood Hunt on fire searching for justice and everlasting love.
There are plenty of tidbits to be learned about our favorite characters. The cliffhangers from the last book are not all resolved but they do take on new facets that will keep you glued to the pages. I am still in awe of Ms Butcher’s ability to entwine so many story threads together and keep the reader enthralled while doing so. Blood Hunt gently pushes some boundaries for the series. I think it comes at the right time. Blood Hunt kicks things up a notch letting the reader know that not all secrets have been told and there is plenty more story to come for this fabulous series. Action, intrigue and scintillating passion make Blood Hunt a hit!
