Things are almost perfect for Lord Oliver Marsden and his lover, Lord Vincent Prescott.  Oliver’s business is doing well, as are Vincent’s business concerns.  They spend as much time together as possible, and Oliver still loves submitting to Vincent in their bedchamber.  The only looming problem is a big one—Vincent’s brother has no heir, meaning Vincent could someday be forced to marry.

Then they receive news that changes everything.  Oliver takes the opportunity to push for more.  Will he find out that their relationship has more problems than he knew?

Bound Forever is an emotional and sweet conclusion to the story of Oliver and Vincent.  The two men are settled in their relationship, and happy despite all the constraints society places on them, yet they both know things could change at any time.  The precariousness of their situation is something they each have to deal with.  Fortunately, Vincent receives good news on that front.  Both Vincent and Oliver are pleased by the removal of one potential obstacle to their love, but other issues crop up.  Vincent won’t stop trying to “help” Oliver with money, which drives the proud, independent Oliver crazy.  Also, while Oliver loves to submit he’s been wanting to try the other side of the coin as well.  Both Oliver and Vincent are proud, stubborn men.  Their communication skills seem to fail them at times.  Despite their at times foolish behavior, I adore both Oliver and Vincent.  I enjoyed the opportunity to spend a bit more time with them and see how they create a life together in spite of the time in which they live.  There’s not a lot of huge drama in Bound Forever, just two men accustomed to living their lives as they see fit, trying to negotiate a future together in a time where being gay was illegal.  Fans of historicals should not pass this one up.  I’ve greatly enjoyed this series, and with Bound Forever, Ava March brings it to a satisfying conclusion.
