Homicide Detective Brian Hurley and his undercover partner Griffin McManus spent six months working in a BDSM club where Brian became Griff’s Dom. Now, months later, neither man can get the experience out of their minds. Will seeing each other gain give them closure or bring them closer together?
While there is not a lot of background on the men, especially regarding their sexual pasts and preferences, you get enough to know the experience they share is new to Griff and that their time undercover was much more than sexual. The BDSM is on the heavy side. The use of sounds and implied abuse is prominent, but the emotional side of BDSM is clearly shown as well. The give and take of that kind of unconventional relationship is portrayed beautifully as both men’s needs are met. Breaking Cover is not a particularly deep story, or a long one, but it’s well written, and poignant, and has an erotic BDSM edge.
