Kai Murdoch has just arrived in Cromer and needs to relax. Where else would a merman relax but in the ocean and in his true merman form? Once he lets out his senses, Kai realizes that there is another merman very close by. Kai was not aware of any other Talents around him, and goes to investigate. He discovers a sexy merman along with a human woman. Kai decides to check out this amazing and sexy man up close.

Tyler and Zoe are at Cromer for the underwater dig that Zoe is in charge of.  Tyler is watching over his wife while she is underwater, when Kai suddenly shows up and takes all of his attention. Introductions are short between his shock and Zoe’s forgetting to breath correctly. That was just the start of their adventures that night, which had them ending up at Kai’s place.

Kai is strongly attracted to both Tyler and Zoe, but he is going to tell them what he wants and see how they take it. Tyler and Zoe are all for having a relationship with Kai, and all three decide to take it day by day. However, what seems like a harmless prank the night before turns into a deadly and dangerous situation. Kai calls in the rest of his Dept. 57 team and is determined to protect his new lovers from an old foe. As the danger hits them all personally, Kai, Tyler, and Zoe will have to work as a loving team just to reach their budding future.

Danger stalks, as a couple becomes a loving ménage. Zoe, Tyler and Kai discover their love while under fire in Crystal Tides. Kai is restless and just needs to get away, so he goes to Cromer. Zoe and Tyler are in Cromer for Zoe’s job and discover the one person that will make them whole. I have waited for Kai to find his happy ending since he left his last relationship, and was extremely happy as I read about Tyler and Zoe. While they bonded quickly, it totally worked for them and didn’t seem rushed. I could see Kai falling for both Tyler and Zoe, while Tyler dealt with his mixed feelings. Zoe was the perfect person to bring all three people together. Crystal Tides is a sensual and erotic story with that touch of Dept. 57 danger to add some additional spice.
