Crystal never expected to be mostly in the kitchens in Fourth Quadrant when she became a member of the military.  Finally passing her exam and becoming a Corporal, Crystal hopes that it means she will be assigned a more meaningful mission.  That assignment comes but not how Crystal ever imagined.  First off, she is still in the kitchens, although in First Quadrant now and looking for information to help in the conflict between Profortuna’s Council and the Open Air Society and second, she is being assisted by Corporal Fisher – not her first choice because of their past together.

Fisher is hoping that being stuck in the kitchens with Crystal will help him show her that he really does care for her, but “feelings” is a dirty word in Fisher’s belief.  When two of the intelligentsia with a loving past with Crystal appears, Fisher believes his chances for Crystal are over.

Henri and Stepho met and became involved with Crystal during the time they had in Fourth Quadrant during the height of the attacks in First Quadrant.  They had always meant to find a reason to have Crystal sent to them and loved that they found her newly assigned to their kitchens.  Their reunion with Crystal is loving and fierce due to their time apart.

But all isn’t wonderful because the tensions are still running high with the conflict and when Fisher is hurt and then suspected to be in league with the rebellion, it takes Crystal’s quick thinking and help from Henri and Stepho to get him out and healing.  To say that Fisher is less than pleased to be in Henri and Stepho’s home with Crystal is a clear understatement.  But Fisher is about to get a lesson that just because two men are part of the intelligentsia, it doesn’t mean they can’t be strong and physical.  In a time of conflict, it’s going to take a special type of relationship to give Crystal the love she yearns for and these just might be the three men to do it – if they can come to terms first between themselves.

In a world where groupings are assigned, can one woman have the three men she needs even if their match would never be approved normally?  Crystal, Fisher, Henri and Stepho all search for this answer in Crystal’s Three Chosen Mates.  At first I thought that Fisher really was scummy in his actions with Crystal but as I read on I learned what was behind his public face.  I felt for Crystal because I wondered if she would have a chance to get everything she needed to be happy in her love life and that was three very unique men who all fulfilled an area in Crystal.  Out of all three of the men, I was not surprised at all that it was Stepho who truly saw Fisher and what he needed along with how all four of these lovers could come together in a unusual unit or that it would be Henri who could make it all happen.  As I turned the last page, I knew that not only would Crystal, Henri, Fisher and Stepho be okay but had high hopes that Profortuna might also be able to overcome the mess that they had been forced into.  Crystal’s Three Chosen Men combines erotic loving, some bondage, suspense and some very special loving all together that just brings a smile as the last page is turned.
