Fabrice Germain was one of the best sorcerers until he lost everything six months ago.  Now he is just a mortal man who knows all about the other species who live amongst humans.  Needing to get away from his old life, Fabrice accepted an assignment and job in London.  The whole idea was to learn how to be a human instead of a powerful sorcerer.  That might have worked until he meets the woman he replaced and his boss’s ex-girlfriend.

Gemma Wilder is a vampire who keeps her secrets well and firmly in the Talent world.  Gemma might have changed jobs to get away from her ex, but she refuses to give up her best friends too.  When Gemma meets Fabrice, there are many reasons they should not get close no matter what they feel.  Another of those reasons is that Gemma and Fabrice are competing against each other for an advertising contract.  All of those are great reasons for them to stay apart.  Yet days after they meet, they are steaming up the sheets together.

Gemma and Fabrice received a call in the night from the same friends that brought them together.  Now those very friends are dead and dying, before that happens, Fabrice makes a promise to find who killed their friends and to get justice for them.  This promise also places Fabrice right back into the world of Talents, this time as a vampire.  Gemma now has to show Fabrice the ropes while they work together with London’s Department 57 to find the killers and if that isn’t enough; their passion is still running high.  Fabrice has lived with extreme highs and lows and in the last six months his lifehas been torn apart twice now, even with Gemma’s help will he find the strength to fight for their love or will justice achieved give Fabrice the final out of this world?

Can passion and a loving future be enough to keep one torn man from saying the final goodbye?  Fabrice and Gemma search for the answers in Diamonds of Ice.  When Fabrice lost all his abilities, my heart went out to him because he had been powerless to stop it.  I worried that he might lose heart now faced with a brand new world without a talent.  I could already see that Gemma was a strong woman when I met her and later when she searched for an answer to Fabrice’s phobia it just proved my thoughts.  I loved the chemistry that instantly rose between Gemma and Fabrice.  Most of all I really enjoyed following the romance between Gemma and Fabrice while they were entwined with the complex mystery of who killed their friends.  Diamonds of Ice is a swirl of suspense, danger, humor and of course love.  What more could you ask for?
