Jobs are hard to come by in rural Appleton these days. Just ask Duane Hanson, he’s been unemployed for far too long. At least living with his best friend means Duane’s got a roof over his head. Of course, it also means putting up with Leon’s fiancée Myrna and her attempts to find Duane a boyfriend.

Her latest attempt to get Duane out of the house is the blind date she’s set up for him with a guy at the weekly Farmer’s Market. Ironically when he meets Marvin Christensen he likes the guy. Who would have thought Duane could fall for a guy who spends his days rescuing furry critters. Then again, who would’ve thought someone wants to cause trouble for Marvin and wants to use Duane against Marvin.

Author Pepper Espinoza offers up a sweet, rural romance with engaging characters, a genuine plotline, and a nefarious bad guy. Duck & Bunny Rescue is exactly what it seems – a straightforward, sunny love story. An enjoyable fun read.
