Duncan has served the Vampire Lord Raphael since he sired him. Now the time has come for Duncan to take over his own territory with Lord Raphael’s blessing. Duncan will move from sunny California to Washington D.C. to take the territory from the sadistic vampire currently in charge. Duncan discovers many disturbing things when he takes the territory. Not only was the former lord evil but there are currently vampires within his territory gunning for him. The last thing he needs is a distraction.

Emma Duquet is used to working with the sharks on the hill in D.C. but she has never had to deal with vampires before. Unfortunately, her roommate and best friend has gone missing and her only lead takes her to the vampire stronghold. Emma will go to extreme lengths to find her friend even sneak into the vampire’s home. It doesn’t take her long to discover she may be in over her head and the sexy vampire in charge only confuses her more.

Emma has information that Duncan needs and vice versa. They strike a deal to help each other. Can they find what they both seek and keep their hands to themselves? Will they survive the evil that’s determined to crush them?

Duncan is another thrilling addition to D. B. Reynolds Vampires in America series! Ms. Reynolds rocks! I cannot get enough of her vampires. I have been impatiently awaiting Duncan’s story from the beginning and I was definitely not disappointed. You do not have to read this series in order but I recommend it because it makes it a much greater experience.

While I hated to see Duncan leave Raphael and Cynthia, it was time for him to become a Lord. He waltzes into D. C. and takes charge. Duncan sizzles and when paired with Emma’s strong yet vulnerable character these two make magic. I just love everything about this story. I also laughed my butt off when Emma has a few words with my favorite girl Cynthia, hysterical! I also love that after five books Ms. Reynolds can still surprise me! Duncan equals hot romance and bloody good action! You don’t want to miss it! Ms. Reynolds please give me more Vampires in America!
