Andra Madison has a special job. She locates children that have been taken by monsters. They are actually called Synestryn and she has a reason for knowing exactly how horrible they are. Years ago these creatures attacked Andra’s family and her mother and one sister was killed, while another was harmed during the attack. Andra knows that one day she won’t win the battle but until then she will continue locating and rescuing children.

Paul is one of the Sentinels who battle the Synestryn. He has been searching for centuries for the woman who would save his life and become his mate. With time running out, Paul did the unthinkable and worked out a bargain with one of the bloodhunters. Finding Andra is Paul’s sole focus but he never expected to find her battling Synestryn.

Andra is grateful for the help she received from Paul and his friends, but she isn’t ready to trust them. When Paul asks Andra to go with him, she only agrees with one specific requirement. Paul is surprised to find out that not only is Andra one special woman but she has a sister who is exactly like her. Realizing that the Synestryn want both women makes it even more vital that they get home quickly and safely. Andra knows she wants Paul but still isn’t ready to give him what he wants. Lives are on the line when Andra and Paul go after yet one more kidnapped child. When Andra finally realizes what Paul means to her, will it be too late to capture all that was offered to her?

Beware of strangers offering help. That is what Andra thinks when she meets Paul in Finding The Lost. Miscommunication and half statements seemed to surround Andra and Paul. I could understand that Paul didn’t want to force Andra into anything, but I could also see that he was hurting himself by not giving her the entire truth. However, I could also see that Andra was willing to sacrifice her happiness for others. There were several times I just wanted to lock both Andra and Paul into a room until they talked to each other. I was extremely happy to see that Andra and Paul both finally accepted what the other offered to them.  Finding The Lost brings danger right up against a love of the centuries. I loved seeing yet another Sentinel and the woman who would save him.
