Skye Adams learned a few years ago what her father, Victor, actually did on the job and ever since then she never knows when plans might have to be quickly changed. After all when the Agency tells you do to something, you go take care of it. That is why she is currently waiting for her father at a new Thai restaurant they both wanted to try. Her dad is late and Skye is getting a bit worried but when his partner shows up, all heck breaks loose. Skye is scared to death and has no idea where to turn – that is until she remembers something her father told her.
Jack Berick is a PI who agreed to help his friend’s daughter, Skye, if she should ever contact him. So when Skye called him, scared and explained what had happened just minutes before, Jack immediately knows that something has happened to Victor and it’s time to carry out his promise. That promise takes a back seat when Jack actually meets Skye for the first time and is instantly attracted to her and learns that attraction is mutual.
Jack and Skye quickly decide to work together to figure out what was behind the attack and just where Victor is. Skye and Jack put their skills and knowledge together and the more they dig the more crazy everything seems to get. Something underhanded is going on and it’s beginning to look like someone at the Agency might be involved. Now Jack and Skye have to decide who they can trust to help them get Victor back from the blackguard who has him and what they are willing to do for his release.
Sometimes father really does know best which Skye and Jack will find out as they work together in Flirting with Danger. Skye might not have known the truth about her father’s job growing up, but she certainly has no hesitation to step up when his life is threatened. Jack is a tough PI who always knows the score, but even he was given a jolt when he met Skye for the first time – a jolt filled with passion. I enjoyed watching as Skye jumped in feet first to find and gain the release of her father with Jack being the practical one with enough experience to make sure Skye was kept safe when things got very dangerous. I had to laugh at the end when Victor finally told Jack and Skye what his true idea was in bringing them together. Especially since they didn’t need any help in the love department once they finally met. Flirting with Danger is filled with suspense, under handed backstabbing and a quicksilver passion – what more could you ask for?
