Grace Brooks is desperate to find the career her parents will be proud of. But is it what she wants for herself? ER doctor Josh Scott has his hands full with too much to do and not enough hours in his day. When he turns to Grace for help as a nanny, he hopes the sparks between them don’t ignite because there’s not enough room in their lives for a relationship with all the baggage they’re both carrying. Small-town life may not have been in Grace’s plans, but it might be exactly what she needs.
Grace and Josh are a very sincere and sexy couple. Josh has the weight of the world on his shoulders, but he proves that he’s just a man when things get too heavy. Grace is determined to do what she thinks is the right thing, even it means sacrificing her own happiness. A little luck, a lot of love, and the help of a town full of meddling well-wishers help Josh and Grace find a way to make things work. Every time I read a story in the Lucky Harbor series I say, “I love this couple the most” until I get to the next couple. Lucky Harbor is a quirky, special town. Things have a way of working out for everyone and everyone has a part in making them work out. The stories are heartwarming and sensual. And all that chocolate is good too! Forever and a Day has an ugly puppy, a cute little boy, quirky townsfolk, a girl who’s hell on wheels (literally), and a tender and passionate romance. There isn’t a dull moment from start to finish.
