High school English Lit teacher Skyler Foxe is still riding high from his actions in solving a crime related to his school. Best friend Sidney, who also happens to be a detective, swears she will lock him up personally if Skyler ever puts his life in danger again.
This is Skyler’s first year teaching full time and it’s going well. The confusing part is Skyler’s intense attraction to one of the assistant coaches, Keith Fletcher. He’s never been one to see someone more than once or twice, scratch the itch and leave is Skyler’s m.o. He can’t decide if it’s good or bad that Keith is just as interested in him.
A chance meeting with a pair of old college chums, who are also partners, ruins Skyler’s good mood and takes his mind off what to do about Keith when he hears of their problems. Jeff Dwyer and Evan Fargo served their country with honor. Hell, Evan gave a leg to the war they were sent to. But when the military figured out that they were partners they were shown the door and treated like dirt and worse. Before he gets the opportunity to see Jeff and Evan again something awful happens. There’s no way Skyler is going to sit still when his friends are in trouble, plus he’s sure something’s still going on at the school. And then there’s Keith…
Irrepressible and full of spirit, Skyler is a one of a kind character who will enchant readers whether you agree with his methods or not. Foxe Hunt is a whodunit drama with a strong dash of humor. What sets Foxe Hunt apart from others is the superior cast of characters who gravitate towards Skyler, even when they’re mad at him. By no means is he a perfect guy, Skyler Foxe is flawed, but he’s willing to own it – once he’s cooled off, that is. I can’t say more, don’t want to give anything away, so just believe the truth, Foxe Hunt is a compelling page turner with a kicker of wit.
