Joel Alton, aka crosscounty500, is at a gamers’ convention with his roommate, Baxter. Joel and Baxter are part of a gaming clan, a group who play together, and most of them have known each other for years both online and in person. However, there is one person in his clan that Joel has never met – his late night talking buddy Samatra300. Joel is surprised and then excited when he learns that Samatra300 is actually at the conference too. Joel immediately decides to track his buddy down so they can finally meet in person.

Sam, aka Samatra300, is known by her family as Samantha. Sam has been a gamer for many years and along the way learned that it was best to hide the fact she was female. Hence, the majority of her clan and gaming buddies know her only as Sam or Samatra300. Sam came to this conference hoping to finally meet one of them – Joel. They have had several long conversations late at night after the gaming was done. Sam knows the first thing she will have to do is apologize for not telling Joel about her true self.

To say that Joel is surprised when he meets Sam is an understatement, to say the least. Sam turns out to be one sexy woman with the interests that only a fellow gamer and Sci-Fi lover could truly understand. Good thing that describes Joel to a tee, not to mention he is more than drool worthy in Sam’s eyes. Their online friendship heats up fast and explodes into a night neither will forget. However, while they are learning about each other, another member of their gaming clan has plans to have Joel herself, and the first one is to get rid of Sam. When something is posted that blindsides Joel, will he remember what he has learned about Sam, or will their budding relationship be blown out of the game?

A conference turns blazing hot when two gaming buddies discover passion. Joel and Sam melt each other in Geek Love. It was easy to see that Sam held all the cards when she finally met Joel, but I quickly saw that her deception was never meant to hurt anyone. After reading about all their late night discussions, I wasn’t at all surprised how quickly their friendship turned to passion. After all they were soul mates long before they ever met. When their relationship was all but destroyed by jealousy and bitterness, I loved how Joel overcame his instant reaction, and used his and Baxter’s skills to rescue Sam and help her through the aftermath. Ms. Armstrong proves that geeks deserve, and need, hot passion with their gaming. It makes me wonder what really goes on during those online gaming sessions. Geek Love turns an online friendship into erotic passion, spiced up with jealousy and suspense.
