Cumberland Hilliard was ready to reveal his secrets to his High School sweetheart, Rose, on their prom night. A few hours turned to 14 years before Cumberland saw Rose again after she disappeared on the night they were supposed to start a new phase of their relationship.
After hastily leaving town, Rose now Dr. Hollis Delacroix, moved back to New Orleans and was the leading medical examiner on the recent spate of murders. While on yet another crime scene, Dr. Hollis Delacroix was surprised to see Cumberland after so many years, at the same time he had just became the number one suspect in the murder investigation.
On the hunt and execution of rebel vampires, Cumberland Hilliard grew lax in his elimination when he got caught standing over a dead body. With so many unanswered questions can they continue were they left off or will anger and bitterness lead to the downfall of their relationship?
The summary of Give Yourself to Me outlines the whole story, thus eliminating any element of surprise. I love Ms Riley mainly on her ability to draw me and relate to her characters. Not one of my best or satisfying reads from this author, just okay. As well, the cover page seems a little off, like the two characters are not in the same picture.
