Ashlin is the best hunter and tracker on her planet. And as this is a desired attribute you would think that it would make her a sought after woman and huntress. But, she is not like everyone else; she has a mixed heritage that has shown through. On a planet where mixes are not well tolerated it has put her at a distinct disadvantage to not only have but show her mix, and she needs to fight for respect daily.
When being Hunt Master is denied to her yet again she decides she will avoid the hunt all together. That is until she looks into the eyes of the beast being hunted. When she looks into his eyes she sees an intelligence in them that can’t be denied. SO she has decided to do what she can to save the beast. What she doesn’t expect is that the beast will turn into a sexy man, and a sector guard, who is to recruit her to the guards.
Ms. Grace’s latest Sector Guard story has another unique sci-fi pairing. While you will see characters from past stories Harvest Hunt is really set up to be a stand-alone read. I am one who thinks all the Sector Guard stories should be read in order so that you understand all the interactions better. Ashlin is a compassionate woman who just needs the right group of people to understand her, as well as the love of a man who deserves her. I found Harvest Hunt to be a delightful and intriguing addition to the Sector Guard series.
I wonder where Ms. Grace comes up with all the different attributes her characters have, which makes them special, and desirable as sector guards.
