The power-hungry, psychopathic villain creates escalating, terrifying intensity, and the brutal imagery associated with his deeds is gut wrenching. The plot is intelligent and powerful and absolutely riveting. Mac is not a typical, perfect male specimen. There’s not one character who describes him as attractive in any way, which makes the connection between Mac and Catherine go much deeper than sexual. Heart of Danger is Beauty and the Beast with some new, exciting twists.
