Tom ‘Mac’ McEnroe doesn’t exist anymore, so when Dr. Catherine Young finds him he’s understandably defensive. Until he discovers why she’s there. Then he’s furious. Mac thinks Catherine is lying. The man that deserted Mac and his team cannot be the same man Catherine says sent her to find him. Tom is responsible for the safety of many lives, and Catherine is upsetting their safety net. With so many lives at stake can Mac and Catherine trust each other to do that right thing?
Fans of Lisa Marie Rice’s work will love Heart of Danger’s traditional alpha hero, delicate heroine, and the ensuing romance and hot sex between them. What makes Heart of Danger different is its very intriguing storyline. It’s a futuristic thriller full of nail-biting suspense. The power-hungry, psychopathic villain creates escalating, terrifying intensity, and the brutal imagery associated with his deeds is gut wrenching. The plot is intelligent and powerful and absolutely riveting. Mac is not a typical, perfect male specimen. There’s not one character who describes him as attractive in any way, which makes the connection between Mac and Catherine go much deeper than sexual. Heart of Danger is Beauty and the Beast with some new, exciting twists.
