The voices Aslan hears within his head have been with him for as long as he can remember. Oh, they may only murmur at times but when they are shouting it’s almost impossible for Aslan to function normally. When he’s tried to tell people about the voices he’s labeled crazy or nuts so Aslan’s learned to keep his mouth shut which is probably why those who don’t know consider him scatterbrained or simple.
The position on the Council for witch Torren Braddock holds is proving to be much more challenging and stressful than he ever imagined. Trying to find his missing brothers and all the other issues put before him is taking up all his time and energy.
Visiting Haven Torren comes face to face with his very own mate, Aslan. Torren’s so busy with Council business that Aslan is feeling abandoned and unloved, again. What’s worse Torren knows that his little mate is a rare kind of witch whose presence could spell disaster for everyone in the near future. Torren has a plateful of responsibilities, but if he’s not careful the most important part of his life will slip away forever.
Invincible embraces the differences that can bring lovers together for a lifetime and beyond. Aslan is someone special, unique, and worthy of being cherished while Torren is cold and austere. There’s a nice transition for Torren and the story compliments his change and the reasons why perfectly. The Haven series continues to offer fascinating characters and fresh plotlines with each new book. Readers are going to love Invincible.
