Visiting Stone Ridge for a conference at his Alpha’s request, lion shifter Valarius Lemusson sincerely wishes he hadn’t been sent. Shifters, gargoyles, and vampires are trying to decide as a group what to do with the knowledge of the government’s awareness of shifters.
After long hours of listening to everyone bickering Val elects to visit a local bar. When he hooks up with a twink and they enter the men’s room Val is confronted with three would be rapists and a struggling man, his mate.
Saving Brice Gaithers turns out to be the easy part. It’s a double edged sword when Val discovers that Brice knows about shifters. On the one hand it’s not a big secret to spill, on the other Brice wants as little to do with shifters as possible. How did something so wonderful become such a problem?
Just Lion Around proves the Wolves of Stone Ridge still consistently deliver. An inventive storyline with a loving relationship rewards the reader once more. Valarius and Brice land in one fiasco after another, yet manage to fall in love along the way. One thing is certain there’s never a dull moment in Stone Ridge for those who are Just Lion Around.
