Kalen is a fast paced venture into the shifter world. What would you do if you woke up after being attacked, while trying to do your job, and suddenly are a shifter? Ally is confronted by this question and a whole lot of other changes in her life in less than a few hours. But how she handles them and her new life is the best part of the story.

Ms. Xander has written yet another strong female who isn’t just going to sit idly by and wait for someone else to save her. She is going to do what she thinks is right and figure out how her life has gone so “upside down” in such a short time. Now if she could just stop thinking about the hunky man (Kalen) who told her she was a shifter, and then sent her off with others to be “safe”. When Kalen learns she has taken off and may be lost he will do what he needs to find her and really keep her safe.

Will Kalen find her in time? And if he does what shape will she be in? What happens if spending time with her leads to his “worst nightmare – marriage”?

Ally and Kalen are well matched and a fun couple to watch grow to love each other. I was enticed by the blurb for Kalen and was not disappointed. I can hardly wait for the next in the Hidden Breeds Series to come out. Kalen is a suspense filled read, with a nice love story as an added bonus.
