Kye was not happy to learn his job as one of Roxie’s Protectors had just turned into being the sole protector for Roxie’s infant daughter, Nevaeh.  Nor was a trip to the zoo alone with the infant on his list of things to do, but when he was ordered to do so he went.  Luckily for Kye a trip to the zoo brought Kye face-to-face with his mate.  Now he just needs to control his mating urge until he can explain things to his soon-to-be mate and then mate them for life.

Michaela loves working at the zoo as an assistant.  One of her jobs is to make sure all the customers are okay, which is one of the reasons she went to help the single man who appeared to be having trouble with the infant he had with him.  Of course it really helped that he was hot and sexy.  Before their meeting was over, Michaela had agreed to see him that night.

Passion was flying when Kye and Michaela got together that night but a misunderstanding almost ended their romance before it began.  However, Kye showed Michaela just how hot he was for her.  Michaela might have felt that things were moving fast as the next couple of days passed but she didn’t see a reason to halt the passion that was flaming between herself and Kye.  Once Michaela meets the family, Kye knows his time is short to tell Michaela the truth about himself.  When Michaela learns that Kye can become one of her favorite animals, will she be able to handle a man who can get furry on cue?

A hungry infant brings two lonely souls together in Kye’s Heart.  Kye and Michaela might have started that day thinking it was a normal one but events quickly showed them that it would be the first day of forever for them.  Watching Kye trying to deal with handling Nevaeh alone was very amusing.  He was exactly like most single men when faced with an infant for the first time.  Michaela was funny and cute while she pumped Kye for all the important information like wife or girlfriends.  I found their romance hot, fast and passionate but I have come to expect nothing else from Roxie’s Protectors.  Kye’s Heart takes passion on the humorous side when Kye and Michaela meet up surrounded by fur and claws.
