The standard run fromDenvertoBoiseand back again is a routine trip for wolf shifter and trucker Kyle Rainier until the night he’s detoured through a podunk town on the edge of theIdahoNational Forest. Pulling into the town’s small truck stop Kyle discovers that one of the cashier’s is none other than his mate.
Out and proud since his youth Vee Cotter longs to leave home, especially with the group of homophobic jerks who live nearby constantly harassing him. The only reason he stays is because his best friend Brice doesn’t want to leave.
Normally Vee wouldn’t let himself be seduced by a stranger, but there’s something about Kyle that calls to him. Vee chooses to believe Kyle when his lover promises to return, however their reunion is spoiled when the town bullies kidnap Vee and Brice. Nothing will stop Kyle from reclaiming his mate, not even a pack of bigoted wolves.
In the latest Wolves of Stone Ridge author Charlie Richards delivers another emotional, danger fraught tale in Kyle’s Valiant Hunt. As always with this series the sensuality is sizzling and the drama feels real. Kyle, Vee, and the rest of the characters engage the reader’s attention and hold on tight. Each story can be read as a standalone though once you try one you’ll be hooked. Kyle’s Valiant Hunt is another excellent adventure.
