Determined to find a bride, Prince Aiden is on a quest to rescue a princess.  In his search, he finds an enchanted tower.  Believing it’s Rapunzel’s home, he sets out to save the girl.  Instead, he finds Robert.

Robert, a painter who sometimes likes to wear women’s clothing, is none too pleased to have Prince Aiden trying to “rescue” him.  He’s even less pleased when the man refuses to believe he’s a man.  Will Aiden realize love might have come in a different form than he expected before he loses Robert?

Let Down Your Hair is a cute tale of a land where fairy tales are real.  Prince Aiden isn’t terribly bright, but he’s brave and determined.  He’s shocked to find Robert truly is a man, and manages to get them into an uncomfortable situation.  I kept reading to see if he would wise up.  I felt bad for the long-suffering Robert, who has to endure Aiden’s cluelessness.  Aiden hurts Robert due to his clumsy insistence on treating Robert like a woman.  Underneath it all, though, he’s a good man capable of doing the right thing.  Fortunately, like all good fairy tales, Let Down Your Hair has a happy ending.  It’s not terribly deep, but Let Down Your Hair is a fun, diverting read.
