Years of abuse at the hands of his stepfather left Jayden Kinkaid raw by the time he was rescued and claimed by young jaguar Alpha Kyle CathFawr. He’d hidden the abuse in an effort to protect Kyle when all along the Alpha could’ve saved him sooner.
Newly mated the couple are all over each other though Jay’s strange prophetic dreams are putting a wrinkle in their happiness. Jay always considered himself average but something changed when they mated and when he celebrated his latest birthday.
On top of dealing with scary dreams that come true the pair must travel to the other packs and coordinate a plan deal with murderous Hunters who are kidnapping shifters. This is not the honeymoon Jay and Ky envisioned.
Between non-stop drama and Jay’s witty inner monologues there’s never a chance to come up for air in Lynx in the Blood. Emotional issues are a strong component in this story as Ky’s love and strength balances Jay’s fragile psyche. Also, Jay’s dialogue and mental comments keeps the humor level rising while everything else around them crashes. Lynx in the Blood is fascinating on its own though readers will probably benefit from reading the earlier book. The main plot points are wrapped up here though some threads are left unanswered to entice readers for the next story. Jay and Ky’s story is primal entertainment that satisfies all the senses.
