It is the Delta wolf’s job to investigate accusations of wrongdoing and eliminate the problem.  Sebastian Rule is sent by the wolf council to look into allegations of stealing humans by pack leader Alpha Rodrick.

Using the cover of looking for a new pack Sebastian meets with Alpha Rodrick.  Unfortunately, his story isn’t believed and next thing he knows he wakes up chained in a shed with a collared and terrified human.  Even though the situation looks grim for Sebastian, he is overjoyed when he realizes that the human, Dobry Stanaszek is one of his two mates.

Before Sebastian is able to free them their escape is orchestrated by a vampire, Alastar O’Conner.  It comes as a great shock to find that Alastar is his other mate.  Too bad Sebastian has issues with vampires. Big issues.  Somehow the trio must find a way to avoid Alpha Rodrick, at least until Sebastian can contact the wolf council.  Then, they have to find a way to become the mates they are meant to be without the past interfering with the present.  Otherwise, Sebastian, Dobry, and Alastar will never know the true joy of being Delta mates.
