Claudia Hunter is a woman just drifting for right now. Out of the military and trying to figure out what she wants to do now, Claudia is on a road trip in the back roads of the Nevada desert when she happens on a badly injured large dog – at least that’s what she thought until she stopped. Now right up next to the animal, Claudia knows that something isn’t quite right with this picture and she only has moments to think before the sheriff shows up.
Luis Alvaraz is a Wyr and he is a peacekeeper with the Wyr tribunal police force. Luis was sent on what should have been an everyday inspection of a mine but what it became was a job that threatened to kill him. Luis was left for dead when Claudia found him and helped him recover. Luis has no reason to trust Claudia while he was so hurt, but there was something about her that let him trust her even at his most vulnerable.
Time is moving at record pace as Luis and Claudia figure out not only who is behind the strange happenings at the mine but also just what exactly is going on. With no one they can really depend on for help in the small town, it comes down to Luis and Claudia working as a well-oiled team in order to secure the situation, end the danger and those behind it before anyone else gets hurt. This should keep Luis and Claudia too busy for other things, but you know no one is ever too busy to feel the attraction and passion that pulls two souls together once they meet. With everyone safe and the mine in Wyr control, will Luis and Claudia now be able to explore the feelings pulsing between them or with the danger gone has their chance disappeared too?
Passion doesn’t care who’s older or if one of you is human and one is Wyr – all it cares about it is bringing the correct people together forever. Luis and Claudia learn this lesson in Natural Evil. I have to state that I loved the soft and deep strength and intelligence that Claudia had as she not only took care of an injured animal and then went about helping Luis finish his unexpected job. Luis is the type of man that makes you swallow hard upon meeting and then he just got better as I learn about him. I really loved how he tried to care for Claudia and keep her safe even while she was helping him bring down the bad guys. The fact that Luis wouldn’t let Claudia ignore the sparks between them had me smiling as they drove off into the sunset. I hope that we hear more about them as the series goes on. Natural Evil is the best type of good vs. evil story with a bit of paranormal and hot passion thrown in for good measure. Natural Evil is another book that will never be leaving my reader because I never know when I will want to open up Luis and Claudia’s story again.
