While making gyoza for his friend Angeline at the farmer’s market, reporter Peter Fontaine witnesses Roger Hager’s death. Roger is a local ceramic artist. Some love him and some don’t. When his death is ruled suspicious, Peter turns his investigating skills on high, putting himself in danger, again.
Peter’s headline-style thoughts give One Man’s Treasure an amusing edge, and his usually inappropriate timing for them is even funnier. Nick is enigmatic and reserved, but he’s always watchful over Peter, even if it’s on the sly. Saving Peter from mishaps is par for the course in their relationship, as is Peter falling into them. After four books, it’s awesome to see Nick and Peter get their ultimate happily ever after. One Man’s Treasure is short in length but big on story. It’s suspenseful till the end and has a large dose of romance throughout.
