Catalina Brown is a traveling tattoo artist with a shop in her mobile home, who is getting quite a reputation for her lifelike designs, especially for anything that has a tentacle. Catalina is back in her hometown right now working and visiting a friend. Catalina has been approached to do a design that intrigues her – a tentacle tattoo on a very sensitive part of the male body. To say she is intrigued isn’t quite describing her interest.
Calder Croft owns a marina but he left it when a scent came to him by a passing female. Being an Octoposeidon without a mate, Calder immediately follows the scent of a female Octoposeidon who passes by his home when her scent sets him on fire. When Calder locates Catalina and sees her home, he comes up with a way to meet her and gain her interest.
When Catalina and Calder meet, that attraction is instant and makes Catalina even more determined to make the design for Calder the best she has ever done. Calder is not surprised to find out that Catalina is obsessed with tentacles. While they are talking Calder learns that Catalina has no idea about what she is and what is going to be happening very soon. Things are happening to Catalina lately that worry her. She’s been having very vivid dreams of being underwater and breathing without oxygen among other things. Calder knows his time is short to not only convince Catalina about her true identity but to also show her that they are the perfect mates to each other. When half the truth comes out ahead of time, Catalina is positive that Calder is a psycho and runs. Can Calder convince Catalina of the truth in time to keep her safe?
Sometimes the truth divides people and sometimes it brings them together in passion. Catalina and Calder discover both in Passionate Ink. I thought it was wonderful that Catalina had a tentacle obsession when she didn’t know about her true heritage. I also thought that Calder’s way of meeting Catalina was beyond perfect. Watching as both of them try to deal with the intense feelings that arise between them instantly proved that their match was meant to be. There were times when both Catalina and Calder didn’t make the best of decisions when it mattered, but I could understand why they did what they did when the tension was high. I truly loved how Calder put it all on the line to give Catalina what she asked for and of course I had to smile when Catalina proved it was the correct choice. Passionate Ink is an erotic journey as two hearts come together with passion and humor.
