Amber Freebird is not ready for the life Kane is about to throw her into.  A pacifist and a vegan Amber is all about doing things the cruelty-free way, but when evil starts hunting her and Kane she must learn a new way of doing things. Will Amber be able to hone her demon destroying skills in time to save Kane’s brother?

Amber and Kane are one of my favorite Dark Protector couples! These two make me laugh and they sizzle in all the right places! Amber and Kane are total opposites and that is what makes them quirky and fun. I just love Amber, she often speaks before thinking and that’s always good for a giggle. Kane has the brooding hunter thing down. Amber is the perfect woman to sooth his burdened soul. Provoked adds another dimension to Ms. Zanetti’s awesome series. She knows how to give her readers fast-paced action and killer sexual tension. I’m looking forward to the next Dark Protector book.  You can absolutely feel that this story is leading up to something massive and I can’t wait to discover what that is.
