Sarah Stratton moved to snowy Buffalo, New York from sunny Malibu, California. To say it’s an adjustment would be an understatement. Unfortunately, since moving the psychic side she has tried to bury for years has been reawakened. Sarah has started having horrific dreams of women being held against their will. Sarah’s not sure what to do because she knows what happened before when she tried to help using her gift, but the stress is becoming too much. As Rajmund enters the equation it gets tenser for Sarah, sexually speaking.

Rajmund Gregor is the Master Vampire of New York City. He answers only to Lord Kristof. Lord Kristof is aging poorly and it seems he may be going insane. It’s only a matter of time before Rajmund must take the power from Lord Kristof and become Lord. Lord Kristof calls Rajmund to him because he wants Rajmund to deal with the police. Girls have been going missing and the police are thinking vampires are at fault. Rajmund thinks he will have to work with the police but he has someone much more beautiful in mind: Sarah. Rajmund knows she’s keeping secrets from him and he’s determined to ferret out each one because there is one thing he knows for sure and it terrifies him: Sarah is his mate.

This is the third book in the Vampires of America series and when I read the synopsis I was thinking where are Raphael and Cynthia. They kicked butt in books one and two and I couldn’t imagine a book without them. Sarah and Cynthia are friends so the couple does pay a visit to Sarah and I got my Cynthia and Raphael fix. What really surprised me is I immediately fell for Sarah and Rajmund when they came together on the pages. I was able to put aside my love for the famous first couple of the series and focus on Sarah and Raj. Rajmund is a sexy, suspenseful ride! D. B. Reynolds has created more characters to fall in love with. Raj and Sarah are both strong and honest characters that light up the pages especially when they are interacting together. I really love the mystery surrounding the disappearances and Sarah’s chilling psychic gift. Both really amp up the tension in this hot story. I would definitely say that this book could be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading this series in order because it is so good you don’t want to miss anything! Rajmund is a thrilling delight you won’t want to miss a word!
