Ricardo Gianetti wakes up in a sweat and knows it wasn’t a dream, instead he connected to another talent who has been captured and held by Dr. Bennett – just like he was. His automatic response is to contact his brother, Sandro, who is now a Senator. Imagine his surprise when he finds out that the one he connected with is a woman and another dragon shape shifter. And she’s one of Sandro’s bodyguards who went missing.
Kristen Turner is pissed. She has no idea how long she has been captured since she’s been drugged the entire time. Kristen hasn’t given up yet, but she wonders if she will ever reach her dragon again when she somehow connects to a man, a very sexy man if voices are any indication. Kristen suddenly has hope when Ricardo says that he knows who she is and they are tracking her via their connection.
Ricardo and his STORM Red team finally help Kristin break free and she is safe. Now begins the hard part, healing her and getting her off the drug. The feelings that came immediately to Ricardo and Kristen put even more stress on the situation. Thinking the drug situation is the worst of her problems, everyone is surprised and horrified when Kristen sets up a hidden plan to kidnap someone. Ricardo believes in Kirsten but the rest of the team, not so much, even with the facts. When Kristen steps forward to correct matters, it takes trust in Ricardo and the entire Red team to keep her safe and finally capture Dr. Bennett.
Two broken souls find each other and a way to heal in Red Inferno. Kristen has worked hard to be the best she could be and doesn’t allow emotions to enter the picture. Ricardo has buried the artist and creative part of himself to survive, but now one woman just might be able to put him back in touch with that man. I wondered about what would happen to Ricardo from the first time he appeared and I was so happy to see him find the woman he needed to heal. I couldn’t understand Kristen’s determination not to feel until the end when she opened up, and then I knew that Ricardo was just the man to show her feelings and emotions are the best part of love. I absolutely loved the kiss off Kristen delivers to Dr. Bennett, she had me cheering for her. Bad guys really should remember that what you do can come back and bite you—hard. Red Inferno combines betrayal, danger, and passion in a swirl of action that keeps you turning the pages to see what’s next.
While I’m sorry to see the end to this series, I saw that another door was opening to the talents. I’ll be waiting to see how Ms. Connolly brings them back. And I will always have the Red Team to visit again until then.
