Out for the rest of the hockey season because of a freak accident on the ice with a rival player, Rueben Malone is searching for his missing brother. The police let Rueben know that Ricky was following a lead and fell off the radar.
Members of Kontra’s pack are trying, so far unsuccessfully to get Detective Ricky Malone to agree to keep silent about shifter’s existence. Not even his ex-partner Draven can get him to keep quiet. Apparently finding out that Draven isn’t human isn’t helping the matter.
Stopping at an out of the way motel for information Rueben literally stumbles across his brother and the pack. Among the group is a tidy, sexy guy Rueben would love to rumple up. Rueben doesn’t know yet that he’s hot for a peacock shifter and his mate. But he will, real soon.
Another tantalizing, original tale comes to life in Ruffling the Peacock’s Feathers, the twelfth story in the popular Kontra’s Menagerie series. Talk about complete opposites, Rueben and his mate Lamar couldn’t be more different. Between their roller coaster romance and the detective’s issues the entertainment value never ends. Ruffling the Peacock’s Feathers adds a new layer to this captivating series. Their convoluted love story is an adventure not be missed.
