Branded an outcast by his father the pack Alpha, Sage is somewhat relieved to strike out on his own. The fight with his father over being gay must have been fated since Sage recently purchased a deserted town called Mystery with his savings. The only regret is leaving his best friends behind, but at least he’s got a place to head to.
Arriving in Mystery Sage quickly figures out why he got the town dirt cheap. The whole place looks like a strong wind would knock it over, no joke. He picks a house outside of town to start a new life with his fierce dog Terror, a Chihuahua. He’s not sure who’s more surprised when he ventures upstairs and comes across William Conrad, the cutest little mystery man he’s ever seen.
Their mutual attraction is awkward since neither knows the other is gay. Also, the full moon is coming in a few nights and Sage will need to protect William from the growing desire he feels to mate with the man whether he wants it or not. Their budding relationship and the rundown town should be enough to deal with, but there is something strange still happening in Mystery and Sage is determined to find out what’s going on in his town. One way or another.
A fresh new series begins with a mysterious past in Sage’s Mystery. One question after another unfolds for a moody shifter and his haunted lover in this original approach to the werewolf genre. There are some answers which leads into even more questions for Sage and William. Several subplots are left open for future books though readers get some satisfying answers here. Sage’s Mystery keeps everyone busy with various angles including love, repentance, betrayal, and revenge. Can’t wait to see what happens next in this exciting series.
