Musician Owen Lawry likes his care-free lifestyle but his latest trip to Gansett Island has him rethinking his ways.  When Owen meets the stunning Laura McCarthy he becomes enamored.  He even helps her get a job reopening his grandparent’s inn.  Owen might be thinking of heating things up with Laura but she has some stuff to sort out of her own.

Laura is in the middle of a divorce after finding out her husband never stopped dating.  To complicate things even more Laura discovers that she is pregnant.  With her life in total chaos Laura knows this isn’t the perfect time to begin something with her handsome savior Owen.  But in life things rarely happen at the perfect time.  Will Owen and Laura make their relationship work? They will not only have to deal with her hopefully soon-to-be ex but the renovations of the hotel as well.  In Gansett Island it’s always the Season for Love and now it’s time for Owen and Laura to find their happily ever after.

I have been anxiously awaiting the story of Owen and Laura.  We have been teased with snippets of them in past books and I’m glad we finally get their whole story.  Season For Love does not disappoint with plenty of love, laughs and McCarthys to go around.  Owen and Laura are so sweet.  Owen definitely makes me swoon with his behavior towards Laura. It is obvious that he cares for her and that if they give it a shot love will definitely be in the air.  However, they have a lot of baggage to deal with first.  Laura must divorce her husband and tell him he is going to be a father.  I truly felt for her during this process.  I could absolutely feel her tension and fear through the pages.  Owen handles things with such grace which is a weird thing to say about a guy but it’s true.  Laura and Owen make beautiful music together in Season For Love.

We are introduced to some new and fascinating characters in Season For Love.  I especially cannot wait to read the lighthouse keeper’s story.  There is a scene in Season for Love that is so emotional I was balling my eyes out and it actually had nothing to do with the main couple! Bravo, Ms. Force for your brave and emotional storytelling.
