Gavin Piscin is an Australian playboy, sheep rancher and oh yes, he is also a leopard shapeshifter. Gavin knows as well as everyone else around him that his species is slowly dying. On a night that Gavin thought would be a good time out, he instead discovers the answer and cause of the lack of children for the leopards and is sent to America to retrieve the cause of fertility or in this case the lack of it – The Leopard’s Paw diamond.
Keziah Creswell began life as a crook and remained a cat burglar for a long time upholding the family business. That all changed when she watched her father be killed in a bungled job. Now she is as far away from stealing as possible, Keziah has built up a successful career as an investment banker. But it seems that someone knows about Keziah’s past and is willing to destroy her current life unless she fulfills one last job – to steal The Leopard’s Paw from a museum.
Keziah can’t believe she is giving into blackmail to save her current life but since she has no idea who is behind the threats, it appears that the Kitty Cat Burglar is coming out of retirement. Wanting to just get it over with, Keziah goes for the steal only to be surprised by another trying the steal the exact same odd diamond. What should have been an easy heist turns into a night of many surprises for both Keziah and Gavin. The most surprising thing was the instant awareness that turned into an erotic encounter. When morning comes just who will have The Leopard’s Paw and will the fertility curse on the Australian leopard shifters be over?
Take one black and white spotted diamond, one determined leopard shifter and one blackmailed kitty cat burglar, stir well and you have a surprising and loving future for all. Neither Gavin nor Keziah were expecting competition while trying to get their diamond in Seeing Spots. Gavin’s desperation and determination matched Keziah’s when they both went after the same diamond for very different reasons. I loved how they quickly saw that together was better than apart when things started going south. I admit to being a bit worried about the sacrifice and then division that I found once they got away. However I should know by now that if a couple are fated to be together it will take more than the police and thousands of miles between a couple to keep them apart if they are meant to be together. I really loved the final discovery that Gavin and Keziah made. Seeing Spots combines intrigue, humor and instant passion that will keep you turning the pages to see what will happen next all in the name of a spotted diamond.
