Faye McCauley is a dragon shifter, more commonly known as a Talent. She is part of a group who isn’t happy that the Talents are soon going to be forced to come out into the open. When the leader of her group is kidnapped by STORM, Faye works out a way to get in and get him out. She didn’t expect to have feelings for the Talent she was going to seduce.

Andros Zelinsky is still getting use to being a dragon shifter. After years of being ill and slowly dying, he is now stronger and shifts into a dragon once a month. He could do it more but that is still not natural for him. This month during the night of change, Andros finds himself flirting with a female dragon and having a wonderful night of hot sex only to wake up and discover he was set up.

Faye realizes she is in big trouble when Andros shows up at her office. Later that day she discovers that everything she had believed was not true and that the man she rescued had not been telling the truth. Determined to make up for what she did, Faye teams up with Andros and others in STORM to stop this man before he kills other Talents. The passion that Faye and Andros felt the first night comes stronger the longer they are together but for a future together, they will need to embrace all that they are.

When you meet by betrayal, can love be the outcome? Shifting Heat brings Faye and Andros together and lets them to discover a love that can last forever. I had wondered how Andros was doing since his transformation into a dragon shifter and was happy to see him get a happy ending. I could understand Faye’s feeling to learn she had been lied to and had unknowingly helped an enemy to Talents free. I love watching as Faye and Andros find their love and become a team that would go well into the future. Seeing them overcome all the hurdles that might have kept them apart was very satisfying. I really enjoyed the final battle and, of course, seeing STORM come out as the winners with the help of Faye and Andros. Shifting Heat is hot and erotic while entwined in suspense that has lasting love being the winner in the end.
